Wednesday, February 7, 2024 – time 9.30 – 11.00 a.m. BIC HALAL KOREA visited HSC and had been warm welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Winai Dahlan, Director of the Halal Science Center Chulalongkorn University along with Dr. Anat Denyingyhot, Dr. Pornpimol Mahamad (Assistant Directors), Dr. Acharee Suksuwan and Dr. Nureesun Mahamad (Researchers). BIC HALAL KOREA led by Dr. Young Soo JANG/ President of Pukyong National University and Hyunwoo Kim, Ph.D. / Provost of International Affairs of Pukyong National University.
BIC HALAL KOREA (Busan Indonesia Center) is an Indonesian private halal certification agency based in Busan, Republic of Korea.
According to Indonesian government, BPJPH, Halal certification is a mandatory requirement for all imported products from abroad to Indonesia effective from October 2019. BIC HALAL KOREA is now in the process of establishment of Halal testing laboratory in collaboration with PKNU (Pukyong National University), Department of Food Science and Technology which is considered as one of the most well-known science and technology research institutes in the country.
For this reason, Dr. Young Soo JANG and Hyunwoo Kim, Ph.D., visited the Halal Science Center. Chulalongkorn University to study and observe the operation of Halal forensic science laboratory and to discuss guidelines for further cooperation and academic exchange and for signing MOU of future cooperation in various fields.
