Halal science laboratory was built in the faculty of allied health science of Chulalongkorn University by Dr. Winai Dahlan, in order to support operations associated with halal food consumer protection.
Assigned by ASEAN’s special committee of halal guideline, Halal science training center was established in the faculty of allied health science of Chulalongkorn University.
Operating halal science related tasks for Bangkok’s Office of Islamic Committee was added to the responsible tasks.

Together with Central Islamic Committee of Thailand and SME entrepreneurs, exhibited in MIHAS (Malaysia International Halal Showcase) at KLCC in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in the concept of “Religion rights, Science supports” emphasizing in Thai art and culture, demonstrating Thai food cooking show. The exhibition received a lot of attention and appreciation from Malaysian media.

Chulalongkorn University (Prof. Khuying Suchada Keeranant, Council President, Prof. Dr. Pirom Kamolrattanakul, Chancellor) issued a regulation on the division of departments under the university office 2013 (19 April) designating Halal Science Center as a center under the direction of the university in being a major support to produce products under category 4.21.4. P.13. Such regulations are an important conclusion that the center established in accordance with the resolution of the Chulalongkorn University Council on December 23, 2004, through the period of university status changes from the system in 2008, the process of organizing the university many times. Finally, the center has complete status as a university unit.

Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office, Niwatthamrong Bunsongpaisarn, visited the Halal Science Center as the president in opening ceremony of the joint meeting between Thai-Malaysia Halal Affairs on May 27 at Halal Science Center Office. This marks the opening of a new era of cooperation between halal businesses of two countries. In this regard, the Minister praised the operation of Chulalongkorn Halal Science Center.
Later in July 2003, he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce.

Assisted the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand, chief of Thailand’s Muslim office and Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization held the Phuket Halal Andaman for Tourism event at Phuket Graceland Resort and Spa in Patong, Katoo, and Phuket Halal Andaman Expo 2013 at Sapanhin, Muang Phuket.

The director was invited to give speech in the topic of Thai halal’s success using science and technology as support for Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, State Premier of Sarawak, Malaysia and investors from south Asian countries at Hilton Hotel Kuching in Kuching Sarawak, Malaysia. This speech inspired Sarawak state to look up Thai for its model in developing its halal industry. Erewhile, the director also gave the speech at Tokyo and Jakarta to raise the awareness of halal in east Asia.

60 Staff from three offices went for a seminar at Koh Change in Trad to improve and build good relationship between the departments, Pattani, Chiangmai and Bangkok. The event emphasized Human Resource Development, Relationship Effectiveness and Corporate Social Responsibility.

The budget for 2014 increased tremendously. Most of the projects are cooperation with the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand and Provincial Islamic Committee of Thailand through the budget committee procedure with the support of the university administration (Prof. Dr. Pirom Kamolrattanakul, chancellor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sittichai Tudsri, vice chancellor of planning and development, Prof. Dr. Kuea Wongbunsin, vice chancellor of research, Assoc. Prof. Jessada Sangsupun, vice chancellor of management) Later, the budget was cut in the sub-committee procedure. It is the history of the most budget cuts.

Organized 39 trainings for more than 300 staff on halal personnel development for the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand and Provincial Islamic Committee of Thailand at Wang Ri Resort, Nakorn Nayok with Niwat Tumrong Bunsongpaisarn, vice president and minister of commerce as presidents.

13th floor of Chulalongkorn Research Center was given to the Halal Science Center to build a Nano Halal Laboratory and Operating area for the Halal Standard Institute of Thailand. This was given in the name of Chulalongkorn University (Prof. Dr. Pirom Kamolrattanakul, chancellor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bunchai Sathitmunnaitham, vice chancellor of physics) and Academic Service Center of Chulalongkorn University (Assoc. Prof. Taweewong Sriburee, director)

10th anniversary of Chulalongkorn Halal Science Center establishment and First Decade of the World First Halal Science Institution 2003-2013: The Halal Science Center, Chulalongkorn University has taken place from 13th to 15th August together with the opening ceremony for Molecular Biology Laboratory Muhamudnormata on 15th August to praise people who have a significant role in driving the budget for 2014 – 2016.2014 March 2014 Central Islamic Committee of Thailand of Thailand held Central Mawlid of Thailand by having Imam Rassami Dumchawai as the president of the ceremony.
Chulalongkorn Halal Science Center assisted in conducting Halal Andaman Fair in Phukhet.

Presided over the event of Thailand’s Mawlid 1437 CE at National Islamic Affairs Administration Center Klong 9 and welcomed Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn as the president of ceremony.

Attend royal audience of Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn with Thailand’s chief of Muslim and Central Islamic Committee of Thailand for royal charity fund donation.

Halal Science Center invited Islamic Committee of Bangkok and imams from nearby mosques for the blessing ceremony for the king at the temple before he passed away later that night.

Seeing the importance of Thailand’s problems with halal food exporting prolonged from February, Department of International Trade Promotion and Islamic Central Committee had requested Halal Science center to represent Thailand in the Negitiation with LLPOM MUI in Jakarta Indonesia. The result was a successful fixing the halt export to be able to continue.

A team of scientists from the Halal Science Center attended a meeting with the chief of Thai Muslim and his committee to decide the 115 chemical substances for recording in H numbers book to be used in halal industry. This is considered the success of a 2-year long project.

Acted as a president in conducting Thailand Halal Assembly 2016 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

The Halal Science Center was the head of Thailand’s representatives in SMIIC/OIC General Assembly Meeting in Istanbul, Turkey. Hence, Thailand was the first non-Muslim country to have been the member of SMIIC which proved that although Thailand is not a Muslim country, it can compete closely with other Muslim countries.
